Haab Calendar
The Haab Calendar is the solar calendar of the Mayans. The calendar is similar to our western calendar in that it has approximately 365 days. It consists of 18 months of 20 days each, with an extra, shortened, five-day month at the end. This secular calendar is traditionally associated with the cycle of the rains, agriculture, and harvesting. The beginning of the calendar year has in more recent times been tied to the conjunction of the sun at the spring equinox, representing the re-emergence of the Sun. This calendar, combined with the Tzolkin calendar, is the basis for the Calendar Round, which is tied to the July/August zenith passage in conjunction with the star Sirius. As the star Sirius was an important factor in the original calendars, there is a debate about the true date of the new year. When using Sirius as the focal point for the Calendar Round, back when it originated, it corresponds to a new year beginning at the winter solstice, which would represent the birth of the Sun. However, the debate continues with differing theories on the true new year. The Haab Calendar is one of the calendars that is responsible for current calendar wars. These wars also involve the Vatican and the validity of older calendars and New Year dates. These wars are similar to those that took place in ancient Sumeria when each religious and tribal sect used a specific calendar to form an allegiance to a specific God from a specific star system. These wars have continued up to today, through our religious institutions and secret societies. The result of these wars are binary computer programs tied to a Vatican enforced Gregorian calendar that now has the potential to destroy our civilization if we don't wake up to the truth about our numbers and our technology.
